Market share trends

  • There was a sharp dip in the grocers’ growth rate from 3.9% last month to 2.6%
  • Price inflation was up to 4%, with the risk that shoppers could start to cut back on spending
  • Both Aldi and Lidl continued their double-digit growth from last month
  • Morrisons was the only grocer to grow share in the top four, while Waitrose continued to perform well
