Julian Graves takes snacks to the sick and elderly with hospital shops

Snacks and nibbles retailer Julian Graves is going into hospital before Christmas.

The retailer is to run shops in hospital foyers. Two stores will open this year - in York and Edinburgh hospitals - and another will debut in Birmingham next year.

Chief executive Nick Shutts said hospitals represent a perfect target market, offering a captive audience and generally older customers.

He said the Julian Graves range - snacks that make good gifts - is ideal.

'It's wellbeing with a bit of what you fancy,' he said.

Julian Graves has 162 stores.
