John Lewis Partnership chairman Charlie Mayfield led the field for retail in the Queen’s Birthday Honours receiving a knighthood for his services to business.

Mayfield has led the John Lewis Partnership, which includes department store chain John Lewis and grocer Waitrose, since 2000. 

Mayfield joined Sarah Curran, founder and chief executive of premium fashion etailer My-Wardrobe.com, who was honoured with a MBE for her services to the fashion industry.

Meanwhile Notonthehighstreet co-founders Holly Tucker and Sophie Cornish were awarded an MBE for their services to small business and enterprise. The gift etailer supports more than 3,500 small creative businesses through its online marketplace.
