Jaeger has teamed up with US department store Saks to launch an exclusive womenswear range.

The high-end fashion retailer will launch the exclusive collection in 11 Saks stores in the US, including Saks’ flagship on Fifth Avenue in New York.

The range has been created in partnership with department store group Saks and includes luxury knitwear and co-ordinated woven separates featuring exclusive Jaeger prints. Prices range from US$170 (£82.64) to US$425 (£206.61).

Jaeger group chief executive Belinda Earl said: “We are delighted to be in partnership with Saks Fifth Avenue to deliver this exclusive collection and to re-establish our presence in the US.”

In October, Jaeger had 146 UK and European stores. By the end of next year, all of its stores will be new or modernised and it will double its overseas stores to 80. It will enter eight markets, including South Asia, Australia and Eastern Europe.

Saks is the subject of a potential takeover bid from Icelandic investor Baugur as part of a joint venture with Landmark Group.
