International News - Eason & Son in move to revamp design of stores

Irish book retailer Eason & Son is to overhaul the design of its 50 stores in the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland, including its Dublin flagship.

The group, Ireland's biggest bookseller, has appointed brand design consultancy Fitch:London to carry out the redesign programme.

Fitch will work on both the look of Eason's stores and its overall brand identity. Eason managing director Mike Ryder said it is too early to comment on what the stores will look like on completion.

Eason is planning to pilot its new approach at one of its shops later this year. It is yet to choose which store.
