International News - Double score for Adidas in Russia

Adidas is reported to be planning to almost double its number of stores in Russia.

Local Russian press reports indicate the sports brand wants to increase its number of standalone shops in the country from 30 to 50.

Sales of Adidas in Moscow are increasing rapidly and sports operator has opened its biggest single-brand outlet in the world in Moscow.

Sales of the brand in Russia, owned by German-based conglomerate Adidas-Salomon, are reported to have increased by around 50 per cent to about US$90 million last year.
