Landsec boss to step down

Land Securities’ chief executive Robert Noel has announced his intentions to retire from the role in 2020, after a decade with the business.

Noel joined Landsec in 2010 as managing director of the London portfolio and was promoted to chief executive in 2012. He has also been a director of the New West End Company and president of the British Property Federation.

He said: “With the business well positioned for the current market, a growing pipeline and a clear strategy for the future, it’s the right time for me to move on.”

The landlord, which owns shopping centres such as Bluewater and Trinity Leeds, said its board will begin the process of recruiting a successor immediately.
