Tesco pilots lower prices for Clubcard holders
Grocery giant Tesco has tried out a scheme giving Clubcard loyalty scheme members lower prices at the till.
Tesco was reported by the Sunday Times to to have lowered prices for Clubcard holders on 20 randomly selected groceries in 50 branches over a week-long trial.
The experiment was similar to a programme run by Amazon in its Whole Foods chain, enabling Prime members to get discounts.
