Sports Direct’s non-executive director resigns

Sports Direct’s non-executive director Claire Jenkins has resigned with immediate effect, The Telegraph reported.

Jenkins had been at Sports Direct for the past six years.

She declined to comment on the reasons for her departure.

Missguided reports surge in revenue

Missguided has reported a 75% increase in revenue to £206m in the 12 months to March 2017, Drapers reported.

The fashion firm’s international sales increased 130%, accounting for more than 40% of the total business.

The retailer said there had been “strong underlying profit growth” compared with the previous year.
