The Hut Group partners with Yodel for packet services

Online retailer The Hut Group has partnered with Yodel for its 24-hour, 48-hour and packet delivery services. Under the 12 month rolling contract, Yodel will make deliveries across the UK on behalf of The Hut’s fourteen brands, which include beauty retailer lookfantastic.com, diet specialist ExanteDiet.com, sports nutrition company Myprotein.com and cycling store ProBikeKit.co.uk.  

 

Carpetright sales fall amid hot weather

Carpetright’s total UK sales fell 3.3% in the first quarter as the warm weather kept shoppers away from stores.

The flooring specialist reported UK like-for-likes fell 1.9% in the 12 weeks to July 20 as the hot weather combined with tough comparatives last year.Total group sales fell 3.5% while its struggling European arm recorded a 10.6% fall in like-for-like sales. 

 

Supergroup to expand in Malaysia and Singapore

SuperGroup has parterned with FJ Benjamin to grow the Superdry brand in Malaysia and Singapore. Under a 10-year distribution agreement, FJ Benjamin, the retailer of luxury and lifestyle fashion brands in Southeast Asia, would open three stores in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, by early 2014, as well as target a site in Singapore.
