French Connection is to push into the homewares market with the launch of a premium home range in April.

The offer, including items such as soft furnishings and ceramics, will be introduced in 10 shops and online in April.

French Connection chief executive Stephen Marks hoped shoppers would buy from the range alongside their apparel purchases. Marks said: “The sense of style is the same as with our fashion arm.”

The homewares market is worth £10.72bn according to Verdict Research.
