Harrods unveiled an eye-catching new gift area in its Knightsbridge flagship yesterday.

The 6,000 sq ft Luxury Gift and Object Room is on the second floor and offers a selection of upscale gifts, ranging from dinnerware to home fragrances from brands including Loet Vanderveen, Jay Strongwater and Baldi.

A number of the products will be exclusive to Harrods. The room also features a “gift concierge”, a consultation service advising on must-have presents. The gift area follows the trend of London department creating super-luxury in-store spaces to reinforce their status as destinations for one-off goods.
