Sainsbury’s is planning to launch a click-and-collect service from an initial seven London Underground stations this summer.
The service will initially be launched from seven stations, with customers placing their orders before 1pm collecting it on the same day.
Sainsbury’s director of online Robbie Feather said: “We are always looking at new ways to serve our customers and make their lives easier so we are delighted to launch this new service. We are confident that the combination of Sainsbury’s quality and great service combined with the convenience that this brings will be a real hit with customers.”
The service will be free for July and August, then after that orders over £20 with incur a charge of £1.99 to use the service. Delivery Pass customers will be able to use the service for free.
The service will be available at Oakwood, Totteridge & Whetstone, Woodside Park, Leytonstone, Loughton, Debden and South Woodford.
