Bookseller and stationery giant Relay is making a return to the UK with a 755 sq ft trial shop in London’s Cannon Street station.

Relay, which has 1,100 travel shops in 14 countries, sells books, magazines, stationery, confectionery and snacks, and is a direct competitor to the WHSmith travel format. The shop has been modelled on the format employed in Asia Pacific but adapted for the UK market. A number of Relay stores opened in London travel locations in 2006 and 2007 before owner LS Retail withdrew it from the UK.
