Gadgetshop has launched its first UK-wide advertising campaign, taking in national press, point-of-sale and online marketing. The initiative marks the beginning of a£1 million, six-month advertising assault.
Chairman Chris Gorman said the push, across tabloids and other media, is to support stores. 'We're trying to create a bit of personality for the brand,' he said.
The campaign has been designed to prompt customers to use their imagination when gift shopping. Slogans such as 'Gadgetshop for gifts because y-fronts are pants' and 'Gadgetshop for gifts because slippers are soulless' are being used.
Gadgetshop has also published its biggest mail order catalogue, with 47 pages.
