Data: Majority of shoppers to keep wearing masks after ‘freedom day’

England finds itself in uncharted territory with the pandemic. Despite surging Covid-19 cases, the government has pressed ahead with ‘freedom day’ –  with all legal coronavirus restrictions lifted.

After 16 months of constant restrictions on behaviour once taken for granted, the government has lifted all Covid restrictions, including the wearing of face coverings and social distancing.
