Former Citterio bosses receive directorship ban

Three former directors of Ciro Citterio Menswear have been banned from holding directorships for a total of 23 years.

All were directors in March 2001, when the retailer was placed into administration.

Ramesh Gopalji Sthankiya, Vinodkumar Lalji Thakrar and Nilesh Thakrar have been banned for five, nine and nine years respectively. The Insolvency Service, an agency of the DTI, said the trio were guilty of receipt of loans from the company that were described as 'detrimental to creditors'.

The agency emphasised that the three have no connection with the team now managing Ciro Citterio.
