Footwear retailer Treds is targeting new stores in the Midlands, East Anglia and the South East after expanding its existing estate with three new shops.

The retailer, which is advised by property firm Kitchen La Frenais Morgan, has taken three new sites. The shops in Camberley and Chichester are open and its Chelmsford store is due to open next month.

Two further stores are under offer and the retailer is also on the hunt for four additional shops of around 1,500 to 2,000 sq ft to open this year. Treds is targeting in particular the Midlands, East Anglia and the South East.

The 28-store retailer sells footwear, including the Lacoste, Sketchers, Boxfresh and Vans brands, and is aimed at 15 to 40 year olds.

Kitchen La Frenais Morgan partner Will Thomas said: “Treds is performing very well in a tough retail climate and we are taking steps to consolidate on that success by further improving its footprint throughout the UK with these new openings.”

Kitchen La Frenais Morgan represented Treds in the deals. In Camberley landlord The Mall was advised by Savills, in Chichester the private landlord was advised by Colliers International and in Chelmsford the landlord La Salle Investment Management was represented by Cushman & Wakefield.
