Figleaves hopes for global lead with US launch, the designer lingerie e-tailer, will launch a US version of its Web site within the next three weeks. chief executive officer Michael Ross said: 'This is the next step for us in global underwear domination.'

The site will be created using American English and pricing will be in US dollars. Orders will be sent out from the UK, but returns will be dealt with by a third party in the US.

The company has created a mezzanine level in its warehouse and installed new logistics software systems to cope with the anticipated demand from the US.

Around£30,000 will be spent on marketing the US site.

The UK Web site was revamped a month ago and now includes cleaner graphics and quicker links, as well as a 'mini' Webstore created to showcase exclusive branded designer collections.
