Fat Face cashes in on Xmas with gift catalogue

Leisurewear retailer Fat Face has launched a Christmas gift catalogue for the first time.

Chief executive Louise Barnes said the catalogue is designed to 'remind people about the Fat Face Christmas gift range'. It has been sent to about 50,000 customers on the company's database.

The initiative is part of growth plans for Fat Face's home shopping channel, which, including Web sales, accounts for 12 per cent of sales.

In the year to May 31, Fat Face's home shopping generated sales of£3.8 million, up 42 per cent on the previous year.

Fat Face's 75-strong store network is also expanding rapidly - five shops will open over the next week to make the most of Christmas.
