N Brown has made a trio of senior hires, poaching its new chief people and information officers from Missguided and AO.

The specialist fashion retailer has hired Adam Wayne as its chief information officer. He joins from a nine-year stint at AO, where he spent the past three years as group IT director.

Alyson Fadil joins as chief people officer from Missguided and has held senior posts at Selfridges and Sofology.

The pair will report to chief executive Angela Spindler and join the business in April.

N Brown has also appointed Phil Barnes, who will join the company this month, as director of supply chain.

Spindler said: “These new appointments join us at an exciting time as we continue to develop our capability. Their expertise will help us accelerate our transformation to a global online retailer.”

N Brown is emerging from a period of intense change, during which it has focused its energy on its power brands and made strides to become a digital-first business.

The retailer’s growth is now driven by its trio of power brands, where sales advanced 7.3% over the golden quarter.

Sales at its secondary brands declined 8.4% in the period, leaving it with a 3.2% group sales rise.

The retailer is currently focused on penning deals with large etail platforms including Amazon and Zalando, terming the partnerships one of its “key future growth levers”.
