Former Holland & Barrett chief digital officer Nick Thomas has moved to the same role at fast fashion brand Missguided, Retail Week can reveal.

Thomas, who featured on Retail Week’s CEOs of the future list last year, has also taken on the dual role of chief commercial officer at Missguided.

In his new position, he will oversee the ecommerce, marketing, operations and trading functions.

The chief digital officer role at Missguided has been left empty since 2019, when Jonathan Wall exited the business and head of digital Nicola Tibbs took on the majority of his responsibilities.

Thomas has a long career in digital and ecommerce – he was chief digital officer at Holland & Barrett for two years, and has also worked for The Works and Travis Perkins.

He will continue on as non-executive director for social enterprise From Babies With Love.

The news comes as takeover rumours circle the fast-fashion retailer.
