Former Mamas & Papas marketing director Claire Harper has launched a new kidswear retailer.

Harper, who previously held marketing roles at Sainsbury’s and Ocado, has launched IndiaCoco online this month and plans to open stores for the brand next year.She is looking to roll out stores nationwide in “community-based locations”.

Harper has launched the venture with husband Lee Williams, a former finance director at retailers including Morrisons and Comet.

IndiaCoco’s key differentiated will be “an unrivalled level of service”, according to Harper.

The site launched with eight brands including No Added Sugar and Ilovegorgeous earlier this month but will add more brands for autumn 2012.
