Charles Tyrwhitt boss Michael Stanier has stepped down from the helm of the business a year after taking up the role.

Stanier, who joined the menswear specialist from Adidas last March, will be succeeded by the retailer’s current US boss, Luke Kingsnorth.

Kingsnorth joined the retailer in 2010 as its ecommerce director before being promoted to ecommerce and marketing director in 2012. He has been at the helm of Charles Tyrwhitt’s American division since 2016.

Stanier, who previously held roles at Gap, Timberland and Marks & Spencer prior to joining Charles Tyrwhitt, plans to return to act as a co-investor for data analytics company Rebo once he has stepped down from the menswear specialist.

Kingsnorth’s appointment is the latest in a rapid succession of bosses at the retailer, which has had four chief executives since 2017 including Majestic Wine chair Greg Hodder and Body Shop chief executive David Boynton.
