Value womenswear retailer Bonmarché is pushing its multi-channel presence by selling its wares through a television shopping channel.

Christmas party dresses from its David Emanuel collection will be sold through the Ideal World channel on November 28 and December 5 in two-hour slots. Customers purchasing this way will receive exclusive offers.

Television presenter and style writer Genevieve Ni Raemionn will showcase the items with help from Bonmarché brand manager Stephen Tearle.

The retailer is also rolling out iPads across all its stores in the New Year, following a successful four-week trial across 15 stores.

Business development director at Peacocks and Bonmarché Dan Finley said: “Our multichannel strategy is very important to us going forward.

“Customer feedback showed they are using the internet more and some are buying through TV channels, so we saw it as another way to communicate with customers. We definitely intend to do m-commerce in future but cross-channel and our store estate are our current focus.”

The moves are part of the retailer’s aim to give customers an improved and more accessible shopping experience.

The ipads will enable customers to buy from a greater product range in-store with access to online exclusives and the ability to order any out of stock store item for collection.
