Experian Footfall

Experian Footfall data for week 9, 2011

February 28 2011 to March 6, 2011

  • Footfall decreased by 10.9% week on week and by 3.7% year on year. The week-on-week comparison was based upon the half-term week, when footfall increased significantly so there was an expected drop in the weekly figure.
The year-on-year footfall was more indicative of how footfall has been this year to date. January had an increase year on year, but caution prevailed throughout February and the initial signs are the same for early March.
  • Footfall decreased in retail parks by 2.4% week on week but increased by 1.2% year on year. There has been a reasonable step change in the footfall levels within retail parks over shopping centres this week.
