Experian Footfall data for week 40, 2010

October 4, 2010 to October 10, 2010

  • The national index saw a week-on-week decrease of -3.4%. Historically, the Index does drop for the first week of the month after the uplift from salary payments in the last week of the previous month. The daily index figures fluctuated throughout the week, with Thursday and Saturday seeing the biggest drops week-on-week of -8.0% and -6.6% respectively. There was a negative performance compared with the same week last year with a drop of -1.7%. This was the first week in 11 that the FootFall dropped year-on-year. Regionally, the West Midlands and Scotland were the only two regions that saw positive growth in FootFall year-on-year.
