Experian Footfall data for Week 32, 2010

August 9, 2010 to August 15, 2010

  • The national index saw a week-on-week decline of 1.4%. Although this is different to the weekly trends experienced last year, it still resulted in a positive performance compared with the same week last year, with growth of 0.9%. Last year’s figures were likely to have been suppressed as swine flu infections peaked during this period in 2009, with widespread advice to avoid busy locations to avoid the spread of the illness.

  • Retail parks saw a 5.5% decrease week on week in footfall resulting in a level year-on-year performance. This was in line with patterns experienced last year.
