Experian Footfall

Experian Footfall data for Week 30, 2010

July 26, 2010 to August 1, 2010

  • The national index recorded a week-on-week increase of 2.4%. Monday’s 5.1% and Tuesday’s 6.94% week-on-week increases were particularly strong, contributing to a third consecutive week of growth. This highlights a slight shift from weekend footfall, indicating that shopper behaviour is being affected by the school holidays. A year-on-year increase of 0.7% was evident, a welcome sign for retailers.

  • Retail parks experienced a decline in footfall, falling 1.6% year on year. However, an increase of 0.2% was noted week-on-week, an improvement on the same period last year.
