Experian Footfall data for Week 20, 2010

May 17, 2010 to May 23, 2010

  • As temperatures soared this week, the national index fell 1.5% week on week and against the same week last year levels were down 2.1%. Shoppers may have chosen to make the most of the weather by opting for outdoor activities.

  • The national index’s highest drop in footfall was on Friday, down 4.8% against the same Friday last year. The weekend footfall showed mixed footfall levels, down 3.6% on Saturday against the same Saturday last year, but on Sunday levels of footfall were up 9.8%.

  • Retail parks saw a further week-on-week decline of 0.6% and, compared with the same week last year, footfall was down 3.1%.
