Experian Footfall data for week 15, 2011

April 11 2011 to April 17, 2011

  • Footfall increased 6% week on week, a sharper incline week on week than seen in the past two years. Althought very slightly behind the footfall index seen in 2010, it was a marked improvement on the fall in year-on-year terms experienced the week before. The year-on-year footfall was down just 0.1%, but it was at a hugher level than in 2009 for the same week.
  • Footfall increased in retail parks by 5.1% week on week, but dropped slightly by 1% year on year. Retail parks showed a similar week-on-week variance to the shopping centres but showed further decline in its year-on-year position for the second week running.
