Experian Footfall data for week 14, 2011

April 4 2011 to April 10, 2011

  • Footfall decreased 7.3% week on week, a relatively big drop, but it came off the back of a good week. Footfall was down 5.5% year on year, the third-biggest weekly year-on-year drop so far this year. This week’s footfall, however, was in comparison with the Easter holidays last year.
  • Some regions fared worse than others. For a second week running, eastern areas showed the biggest year-on-year drop, where footfall was down 15.4%.
  • Footfall decreased in retail parks by 6.5% week on week and 8% year on year. Again, retail parks showed a similar week-on-week variance to shopping centres, but suffered a sharper decline in their year-on-year position.
