Experian Footfall data for week 12, 2011

March 21 2011 to March 27, 2011

  • Footfall increased 4.3% week on week, which was a good increase on the week before, although a rise was expected this week in line with the trend in 2010. The year-on-year footfall dropped 3.5%, which is indicative of the fall cumulatively for the year to date. The Southeast saw a drop in footfall of 1.7% year on year and was best performing region this week. Yorkshire-Humber, West Midlands, London, Northern Ireland and Southwest & Wales all saw drops.
  • Footfall increased in retail parks by 1.4% week on week but dropped 2.0% year on year. Retail parks, although not seeing as good an increase on the week before compared with the national index, showed a steadier year-on-year position.
