Expat Shopping plans European store network

E-tailer Expat Shopping has set its sights on a network of standalone shops in Europe, following the success of a clicks-and-bricks pilot.

Expat has seven shops at present, in Germany and Holland, and aims to have approximately 200 within the next three to five years.

'We are building a franchise network around Europe. We're looking globally, but our focus is on European countries because of logistics,' said director Philip Evans.

Expat specialises in selling traditional British goods - such as Marmite and HP Sauce - to Brits around the world. The e-tailer also supplies many British embassies.
