Department store chain Fenwick has hired Jeremy Collins as its new property director, effective April 2018.

Collins joins the business from John Lewis, where he held the same title and oversaw the doubling of its store estate during his 14-year tenure.

He will be a member of Fenwick’s executive board, led by new chief executive Robbie Feather, who joined the business earlier this year.

The department store, chaired by Richard Pennycook, is currently in a period of transformation.

Earlier this year, it poached former Soho House buying chief Jayne Demuro and hired its first chief information officer in Dixons Carphone veteran David Cutts, as it strives to become a “department store fit for millennials”.

Commenting on Collins’ appointment, Feather said: ”Jeremy brings a wealth of experience that will be invaluable to us.”

Collins said he was drawn to Fenwick’s “family values”.
