Supermarket fashion guru inspires post-graduate retail faculty
George Davies is being honoured today by the launch of a centre for retail excellence named after him at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh, which bears his name. The George Davies Centre for Retail Excellence will begin the first postgraduate course in International Fashion Marketing this autumn, with Davies amongst the leading academics and retailers to provide master classes for students at the centre.

Davies has already been awarded an honorary degree by Heriot-Watt and also holds a Doctorate of Letters from the university, in recognition to his outstanding achievements in the fields of textiles and fashion design management.
