The retail weather forecast from Saturday May 11 to Friday May 17, 2019

The week last year

The spring up and down continued – warm early and late, sandwiching cooler temperatures. Mostly dry.

The week this year

High pressure will start to build across the region, which will aid warm temperatures taking hold. Most are expected to be warmer than normal and last year throughout the week.

The high pressure should allow for sunny conditions for most, other than a few locations across Scotland which are likely to see showers – especially early in the week.

Warm temperatures will allow for improved demand of late spring items and early summer apparel. Sunny conditions will support footfall across the country, with Scotland being the only exception.
