The retail weather forecast from Saturday October 19 to Friday October 25, 2019

The week last year

Largely sunny for the week. The North started out warm while the South was seasonable. Much colder to end the week.

The week this year

Temperatures will generally be seasonable throughout the week. Early week will be near to below last year but the second half will trend warmer.

Portions of the North will be a touch cooler than last year and normal. Light rain will push across the country on Monday and Tuesday but drier weather will be the rule for the rest of the week.

Mindset

Another challenging week for retailers with little in the weather to drive sales increases in autumn seasonal product categories such as outerwear and boots. Drier conditions more positive for footfall.
