Casino shuffles top management to use synergies

French grocery giant Casino has restructured its management team in a move to share best practice across the group.

Casino plan to improve its profitability by driving synergies across the group and learning from both its hypermarket and supermarket operations.

The retailer has appointed deputy managing directors across key areas, who will work beneath the main board and co-ordinate projects.

Jacques-Edouard Charret has been appointed deputy managing director for purchasing and marketing. Jean-Brice Hernu has been named deputy managing director for European supermarkets, while Daniel Sicard has been appointed deputy managing director, European hypermarkets.
