Brand director appointed at The White Company

Homewares specialist The White Company has appointed Sarah Dashfield to the role of brand director.

Formerly of Pottery Barn and Habitat, Dashfield will take on the position at The White Company at the beginning of March. Her long-term role will be more clearly defined on the return of founder Christian Rucker from maternity leave.

The retailer has six stores, and the most recent opened in Leeds in August last year.

Mail order is its main revenue channel, but since the launch of a Web site four years ago, online sales have grown to account for 15 per cent of turnover.
