Retail Week’s Future Leaders programme inspires and support retail’s young talent, whoever they are, whatever their background.

Our mission is to foster a diverse leadership future by equipping young people with the confidence, creativity and skills to thrive in retail. 

Using Retail Week’s unrivalled networks and industry knowledge we open eyes to career opportunities in retail, support young people to build vital networks, and help them fulfil their career dreams. Everyone should have an equal chance to succeed. We’re here to help make that happen.

What does the programme look like?

The Future Leaders programme is a year-long series of online and in-person leadership and career development events, as well as retail knowledge and insights events. We bring industry experts, retail c-suite and leadership coaches to upskill and inform. We also use our pool of programme ambassadors to advise and inspire future leaders.

Who will benefit from the programme most?

The programme is a fantastic resource that will benefit future leaders across your organisation, regardless of their function. The world of work has changed irrevocably in recent years; progressive retailers who are open-minded and provide the time and resources to enable their colleagues to evolve with the myriad social, cultural and tech changes will flourish. We work with retailers to ensure that their pool of future leaders – whoever they are and whatever their background – maximise the programme so that they are empowered and equipped with the skills and confidence to progress in their careers.
