B there for Bloomingdale's fall magazine

US department store Bloomingdale's is launching a quarterly consumer magazine called B this autumn to boost its marketing.

The 130-page magazine, to be published in association with John Brown Publishing, will initially be sent to 270,000 customers.

The launch will coincide with the opening of the Soho store in Manhattan in October and will eventually be sold in other retailers on the high street.

John Brown publishing chief executive Andrew Hirsch said: 'It will essentially be a fashion magazine featuring all the styles and trends that you can find in the store.'

Hirsch, whose company also produces Waitrose's Food Illustrated magazine and William's Sonoma's Taste, said the focus of the publication will be on homewares and interior decoration as well as clothing.
