Grocer slashes 2p off petrol and diesel
Asda has upped the ante in the supermarket petrol price war by cutting prices of unleaded petrol and diesel by a further 2 pence.

Following this latest turn in a series of cuts over the past week, prices will be at their lowest level since May. Unleaded will be 91.9p a litre, while diesel will be 93.9p.

The price cuts come as a result of the price of crude and refined oil falling, after a sustained period of increases.

Tesco and Sainsbury's, both of which have also cut their prices in the past week, are expected to follow suit. Asda said the price cuts would apply across the country, irrespective of the prices charged by rivals in the area.
