Argos permitted to sell full range at Fosse Park

The Hercules Unit Trust, owner of the UK's premier retail park at Fosse Park, Leicester, has successfully lobbied for a change in planning permission on the southern part of the site.

The loosening of bulky goods restrictions means Argos will be allowed to take a 15,000 sq ft (1,400 sq m) unit and offer its full range.

Pillar Property director Andrew Jones, manager of the Hercules fund, believes Argos will even out pedestrian flows between the southern and the northern parts of the scheme.

'We have worked hard to create a quality mix of tenants. Argos will help to realign Fosse Park South with the enormously successful North.'
