Everton Football Club is using myHermes to offer a click-and-collect option for fans purchasing their new season strip.

Football fanatics up and down the UK are now at a loose end following the climax of the domestic season. In Canada, the FIFA Women’s World Cup is in full swing and keeping many fans entertained. And some will already be eagerly awaiting the return of the Barclays Premier League – a competition that triggers debate across offices nationwide, divides friends and family, and ignites true passion.

The unveiling of a football team’s new kit for the forthcoming season is a highlight for any football fan, helping to fill the void of the off-season. The summer is also a busy time for football clubs, who will be conducting their transfer business as well as sending out the new strips to excited consumers.

This year, myHermes has teamed up with Everton Football Club to provide their fans with more choice and convenience when ordering their new strips from the official Everton online store. For the first time supporters of the Toffees will have the option to pick-up their replica shirts from any of the 4,500 myHermes ParcelShops across the UK.

The number of myHermes ParcelShops is on the rise and 70% of the UK population is within one mile of an outlet. Therefore, Everton fans – wherever their location – can now take advantage of this click-and-collect service. Speaking about the partnership, Everton’s club captain, Phil Jagielka, said: “Evertonians are a really proud set of fans, so they will be really pleased with this year’s design, which has lots of great features. The myHermes partnership benefits our fans up and down the country.”

It has already been an exciting summer at myHermes. As well as becoming Everton’s latest signing, the company has also launched its international service – an alternative to the Royal Mail when shipping items to 190 countries across the world. The new service covers six continents in total and includes countries such as Australia, New Zealand, China, the US and all major European states.

As well as providing consumers with a cost effective and simple method for shipping items abroad, myHermes International is also helping SMEs grow their business globally, providing those businesses with an opportunity to capture the new wave of online consumers who are ordering from overseas websites.

The Barclays Premier League is the most watched football competition on the planet, drawing in millions of viewers each week from every corner of the world. Similarly, we are now also seeing more and more overseas online shoppers heading to the UK’s virtual shores to purchase their ‘must have’ items – and myHermes International will help smaller retailers and online marketplace traders to compete with the industry’s larger and more established names.
