Hobbs will launch its first physical retail presence in Germany via department stores link ups with Wöhrl and SinnLeffers.

The womenswear retailer will open shop-in-shops in Wöhrl’s Nurnberg and Ulm stores and in Bonn and Trier at SinnLeffers stores.

The launch will build on an existing German customer base from the retailer’s German language e-commerce site and is billed as “an exclusive edit, carefully curated with the German consumer in mind”.

More concessions in Germany are in the pipeline for next year.

The move follows Hobbs’ expansion in Sweden and the US, where it has nine concessions in Bloomingdales.

Hobbs chief executive Meg Lustman said that entering the German physical retail market was “in line with our international growth strategy” and built on “a firm following of German customers via our e-commerce offering”.
