Walmart’s latest mobile app feature allows customers to search a particular store for items on their shopping list.

Walmart's ‘Search My Store’ app feature informs customers of the products the store carries as well as the aisle location and a photo.

The frustration of searching a store high and low for that pesky last item on your shopping list is a well known part of the customer shopping experience.

For Walmart customers, however, help is at hand in the retailer’s new feature for its mobile app, which enables customers to search a particular store for items on their shopping list.

Called ‘Search My Store’, the feature informs customers of the products the store carries as well as the aisle location and a photo. The product selection covers nearly all items in store, from electronics to toys and groceries.

The feature has been designed to help customers navigate Walmart stores to find items they want quicker and make the overall shopping experience easier. A WalmartLabs statement revealed that over 99% of stores have already been searched by customers and that they plan to make updates based on customer feedback.

The feature is currently live in the Walmart Android app and will be released in the Walmart iPhone app in early November.
