What it does

RotaGeek is an online scheduling platform that enables store managers to instantly schedule staff shifts. The software is also available as a mobile app, allowing staff to swap shifts and keeping all staff up to date with the latest changes instantly via their smartphones.

“Whatever the size of retailer, we provide an easy online tool that enables managers to create a rota quickly” says chief executive and co-founder Chris McCullough.

“RotaGeek enables all retail staff to see the most up-to-date schedule at all times and can generate data-driven rotas automatically in five seconds - allowing store managers to get on with managing.”

What problem does the technology solve for retailers?

RotaGeek modernises scheduling shifts for all retail store staff.

As well as cutting down the time-consuming process of creating staff rotas RotaGeek keeps staff informed of any amendments either via text, email or mobile app.

The online tool also enables store managers to update rotas for staff that work across multiple stores as well as tracking hours worked and leave taken, which simplifies the payroll process.

“In most companies, staff rotas are printed, pinned on the staff room wall, and amended with crossings out and incomprehensible notes in the margin” says McCullough.

“RotaGeek fixes this problem by putting staff rotas in an online platform, making retail staff scheduling transparent and instantly updateable.”
