What it does

Shopitize is a mobile marketing start-up that creates a value exchange between brands and shoppers.

Shopitize monitors deals and special offers promoted by various brands and offers cashback details to shoppers when they buy these products and provide a photo of their receipt. This cash incentive allows Shopitize to encourage shoppers to make purchases at no extra cost for the retailer.

The app is designed to create a direct relationship between shoppers and brands, increasing customer engagement and incentivising purchases.

Once an initial purchase is made, Shopitize delivers personalised incentives to customers based on their previous behaviour and measures the performance and effectiveness of any activity.

What problem does the technology solve for retailers?

Shopitize is a cost-effective platform for retailers to incentivise customers to make purchases and repeat visits whilst gaining insight into shopper habits and behaviour.

The mobile app format makes Shopitize’s proposition easy and accessible for shoppers – they can check the app in-store whilst doing their weekly shop and receive their cash reward as soon as they send over a photo of their receipt.

This mutually beneficial relationship allows shoppers benefit from offers tailored to them whilst retailers build custom engagement and loyalty with no additional cost to their promotional spending.

“Shopitize can be used to provide offers and rewards to shoppers without the involvement of the retailer, all done in a way that is convenient and tailored to the individual,” says Shoptize’s UK managing director Barry Lemmon.
