Grand Central Birmingham will open its doors tomorrow and centre bosses have unveiled these images ahead of the eagerly-awaited launch.

The retail development, which has been integrated into Birmingham New Street station, will be anchored by a 250,000 sq ft John Lewis store.

The department store is one of more than 60 shops, restaurants and cafes in the 500,000 sq ft centre, which has undergone an extensive £150m makeover.

Fashion retailers Fat Face, Monsoon Accessorize, Joules and TM Lewin are also among the line-up, alongside Carphone Warehouse, Cath Kidston, Holland & Barrett, Foyles, Jones, Paperchase, The Perfume Shop and Tiger.

The centre’s restaurant and cafe offer is spearheaded by Ed’s Easy Diner, Nando’s, Tapas Revolution, Handmade Burger Company and Caffé Concerto.

Grand Central Birmingham is the first of four large retail developments that will open in the UK this year, alongside Friars Walk in Newport, Flemingate in Beverley and Westfield Bradford Broadway.

All four centres are featured in Retail Week’s four-part documentary series, Four Sites. To watch the series, click here.
